This Privacy Policy explains how Anchored, a company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("Anchored", "we", "us"), collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use anchoredhq.co and our services (the "Platform").

We process personal data in line with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data and other applicable laws. By using the Platform, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Account data: your name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
  • Profile and payout data: for Publishers, your payout details such as your PayPal email.
  • Order and content data: anchor text, target URLs, uploaded documents, instructions, order history and messages related to orders.
  • Payment data: payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal. We receive limited transaction details (such as a confirmation and reference) but do not collect or store full card numbers.
  • Technical and usage data: IP address, browser and device information, log data, and cookies necessary to operate the Platform.

2. How we use your information

We use personal data to:

  • Create and manage your account and authenticate you.
  • Operate the marketplace: publish listings, process orders, facilitate fulfilment, payouts and disputes.
  • Process payments and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • Send service communications, such as order updates, verification and security emails.
  • Provide support, maintain and improve the Platform, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Cookies

We use cookies that are strictly necessary to run the Platform, including to keep you signed in and to secure your session. Disabling essential cookies may prevent the Platform from working. We do not use the Platform to serve third-party advertising.

4. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers and parties necessary to operate the Platform, including:

  • Payment providers (Stripe, PayPal) to process payments and payouts.
  • Email provider (Resend) to send transactional emails.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers that run the Platform.
  • Data providers used to fetch website metrics during listing review.
  • Counterparties to a transaction: when an order is placed, the relevant domain and order details are shared between the Buyer and Publisher as needed to fulfil it.
  • Authorities or advisors where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect our rights, users or the public.
  • A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

5. International data transfers

Some of our service providers process data outside the United Arab Emirates. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we take steps to ensure an appropriate level of protection consistent with applicable UAE data protection law.

6. Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform, and thereafter as required to comply with legal, tax, accounting and dispute-resolution obligations. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access your personal data, to request correction or deletion, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to request a copy of certain data. You may exercise these rights, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, by contacting us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office.

9. Children

The Platform is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. Third-party links

The Platform may link to third-party websites, including Publisher websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their policies.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and may provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
