Terms of Service

1. The service

Anchored operates an online marketplace that connects advertisers who wish to purchase guest-post placements ("Buyers") with website owners who offer such placements ("Publishers"). A guest post is an article published on a Publisher's website that may contain one or more links to a URL chosen by the Buyer.

Anchored is a venue and facilitator. We are not the author of Buyer content, we do not own or control Publisher websites, and we are not a party to the editorial relationship between Buyers and Publishers beyond providing the Platform, processing payments, and offering the tools described in these Terms.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Platform. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information and to keep it up to date.

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Publisher terms

When you list a website, you represent that you own or are authorised to publish content on it, and you agree to complete ownership verification when required. You are responsible for the accuracy of the metrics, niches, pricing and guidelines you provide.

When you accept an order, you agree to publish the agreed guest post in accordance with the order details and your stated guidelines, and to keep the published post and its link live. You may decline an order you cannot or do not wish to fulfil, in which case the Buyer is refunded. You must not publish content that is unlawful or that breaches Section 7.

4. Buyer terms

When you place an order, you provide the anchor text, target URL, content (or request that the Publisher writes it) and any instructions. You represent that your content and target URL are lawful, do not infringe any third-party rights, and comply with Section 7.

Publication is subject to the Publisher's editorial discretion and guidelines. Anchored does not guarantee that any particular placement will be accepted, published, indexed by search engines, or produce any particular ranking, traffic or SEO outcome.

5. Pricing, fees and payments

Publishers set the price of each listing. At checkout, Buyers pay the listing price plus a payment processing fee that covers card and payment-provider costs. The total payable is shown before payment.

Anchored deducts a commission from the Publisher's earnings on each completed order, at the rate shown on our Fees page. Payments are processed by third-party providers (currently Stripe and PayPal). We do not store full card details. By paying, you also agree to the applicable provider's terms.

Funds for an order are held and released to the Publisher after the Buyer approves delivery (or after any applicable automatic-approval or dispute process). Publisher payouts are made to the payout details on file.

6. Cancellations, refunds and disputes

If a Publisher declines or fails to fulfil an order, the Buyer is refunded the order amount. Buyers may request revisions on a delivered order as described on the Platform.

If a Buyer and Publisher cannot resolve an issue, either party may open a dispute. Anchored may, at its reasonable discretion, review the order and decide to refund the Buyer or release payment to the Publisher. Our decision on a dispute is final as between the parties on the Platform.

Chargebacks or payment reversals initiated through a payment provider are handled under that provider's rules; abusive chargebacks may result in account suspension.

7. Prohibited content and conduct

You must not use the Platform to request, create, publish or link to content that is unlawful under the laws of the United Arab Emirates or any applicable jurisdiction, or that is otherwise prohibited below.

• Content that is pornographic, sexually explicit, or that exploits or endangers minors.
• Gambling, betting or related promotions where prohibited by applicable law.
• Content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, or that offends public morals, religious values or public order.
• Content promoting illegal drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods, or other illegal products or services.
• Content that infringes intellectual property, privacy or other rights of any third party.
• Malware, phishing, cloaking, hidden links, deceptive redirects, or attempts to manipulate the Platform or its monitoring.
• Spam, automated scraping, or any attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform or other users' accounts.

8. No off-platform circumvention

Public listings display a masked domain; the full domain is revealed to a Buyer after purchase. You agree not to use information obtained through the Platform to arrange or complete transactions outside the Platform in order to avoid fees, and not to solicit other users off-platform for that purpose.

9. Link monitoring

Anchored may periodically check that published posts and their links remain live, and may notify the parties if a link is found to be missing or unreachable. Monitoring is provided as a convenience and does not guarantee the permanence of any placement.

10. Intellectual property

The Platform, including its software, design and trademarks, is owned by Anchored or its licensors and is protected by law. You may not copy, modify or create derivative works of the Platform except as permitted by these Terms.

As between Buyer and Publisher, ownership of order content is as agreed between them. You grant Anchored a limited licence to host, process and display content and listing information as necessary to operate the Platform.

11. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any placement will achieve any particular SEO, ranking, indexing, traffic or commercial result.

Anchored is not responsible for the content, quality, legality or longevity of Publisher websites or Buyer content, which are the responsibility of the respective users.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Anchored will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or anticipated savings.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Platform or these Terms will not exceed the total fees you paid to Anchored in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Anchored and its officers, employees and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Platform, your content, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us, or for prolonged inactivity. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

15. Changes

We may modify the Platform or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and may provide additional notice. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform.
